Allergy Drops

An Allergy Relief Alternative for All Ages

Allergy drops are one of two forms of sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) and is proven to help patients manage conditions such as environmental allergies, eye allergies, and asthma. These specialized drops are custom formulated by your allergist and may contain more than one allergen.

SLIT introduces small doses of allergens under the tongue daily. This causes a decrease in the body’s production of specific allergic antibody, called IgE, and teaches your immune system to tolerate exposure to allergens in the environment. Over time, allergy symptoms lessen.

For children with “needle phobia,” allergy drops provide an alternative option that avoids needles all together. Allergy drops may also be a good option for those who have not tolerated allergy shots, and those with isolated seasonal or dust mite symptoms.

At Allergy Partners, our board-certified allergists can help you determine whether SLIT allergy drops are an effective option for you based on your complete medical history and allergy test results.
